How do I extract the embedded JPG from Canon .CRW files (RAW)?

Hi. My PowerShot S60 has an option to choose JPG size when shooting RAW, but that JPG is stored inside the RAW file (a bigger JPG makes easier to check focus in play mode). How do I get it out? Thanks!

ANSWER:
Canon PowerShot S60

The embedded JPG image in a RAW file is "only" a small "thumbnail" JPG image that allows you to "view" the image on camera, computer; etc. displays.

The camera setting's "... option to choose JPG size ..," is only for the actual JPG images; e.g., with the "JPG" or "JPG+RAW" settings.

If you have a Windows OS computer can save the small embedded thumbnail JPG image with the free FastStone Image Viewer app; see HERE.

For more options just simply do a online search for "RAW image JPG thumbnail image".

Ty! But the camera can save "big" JPGs inside RAW files (idk why it does that JPG+RAW -separate- is not an option, like in most cameras).

I will try FastStone Image Viewer

I only replied in context to your "OP"; and the way "all" the digital cameras I've used.

I have never used the "PowerShot S60".

Hence if you need more info, you simply have two options:
1. Wait for someone that has used the "PowerShot S60" provides a answer.
2. Do some online searches.

I mainly shoot RAW.
