Adapt, adapt, adapt - Canon m to eos to nx
1

Hi,

Can we adapt, shall we say, a Canon m to Canon EOS EF, and then, from EOS Canon to nx? What would be the result if using to adapters? Do we have a different focal lenght? Vignetting?

Thanks

More dead horse flogging!

The original Canon Eos (as used for film cameras and earlier DSLRs) to NX - yes, but there's no aperture control, unless you've got some kind of "intelligent" adaptor (if available it won't be cheap!)

Canon EF-M to NX - no chance, without optical converters as well as electronics … even more expensive!

The NX system has a 25.5mm distance (the back focus) from the lens flange to the sensor, the Canon EF is only 18mm, so, other than for extreme macro, it just won't go without extra optics!

Any adaptor with a built-in aperture will likely vignette when the aperture closes.

If you want to use Canon lenses, buy a Canon body

Re: Adapt, adapt, adapt - Canon m to eos to nx

Hi, thanks for replying. I made a mistske, as i forget that you can adapt Canon EOS lenses to Canon m, but the other way around. Im still trying a way to adapt those cheap ttartisan lenses eh eh... I always love bokeh. But with the NX system to get the shallower depth of field you have to use the 85 or the 150s, but i want to be close to the câmera, so i Need wider Lens. A 20mm or 16, F1.4. I dont mind if they are manual focus, because i can Stretch my arm, and focus on me. I finally solve the problem of a non selfie LCD of the nx1, using a Mirror, and it works nice Canon lenses are expensive, if you compare to ttartisan, 7artisans, kamlan, viltrox, etc. Só i prefer buying a Fujifilm body, instead of Canon EOS.m. thanks
