Victory over what might I ask?  Probably obvious, but don't have a clue what that is all about.

Football/Soccer World Cup Final...
...a bit of a spoiler... but then, so is the image... LOL!
The match is well worth the watch, one of the most exciting, suspenseful in quite some time.

Thx

well that's the minimum one could expect, right? 120 billion bucks spent for 64 soccer games. Two billion per match.

Good photo, anyway.

That is a fine photo!

We had early Christmas at our house with out of town family and watched the entire WC final match even though we are not avid soccer fans.  That was a fantastic match.  (My 8 year old grand son had to explain the foul call rules to me.)

Have him call me, please!

Twenty years watching the sport (from kiddie soccer onward) I still can't tell anybody how a player is judged to NOT be involved in the play, yet in an offside position. {The next chapter of my book is titled, "What the h*ll is 'icing'?")

It was a glorious match--enough drama for three lawyer movies.

Cheers,

Rick

Yeah, I get that also...  But Humans gotta 'Do'.
Given the amount of worldwide involvement, possible coming-together, and mostly non-negative outcome; it not a bad way to expend some effort...
Certainly much more positive than the Billions spent in effecting war/conflict/misery and death, like in the Ukraine and so many other places on our only 'home'.
I'd prefer to have that kind of effort expended on taking care of our mutual 'home', by each/all of us.
All of this a bit more than what one image and thread can cover...
... BE the world you want it to be.
Thx
Yuri

"Exciting" for soccer is like "exciting" for paint drying
