Heads up. EF-M adapter with Variable ND filter for $39

This is an incredible price for this slot in filter adapter.

I don’t own this adapter but I think is the same as the Meike.

You have to check the 70% off coupon and the $33 will show up in the check out section.

Correction: $109 was for the CPL and $129 was for the VND. So it says $38.70 at checkout.

But I already have too many adapters and I use filters very seldom with my EF/EFs lenses, so .... no thanks.

But thanks for the heads up. 👍😃

Yes I got confused, lol.

I got the EF-R version which has a 50% discount.

This is great for wide angle lenses where you want to have your filters behind rather than up front. And one filter size serves all EF lenses.

Just a conventional VND filter cost as much or more !

I got the EF-R CPL version from a charity shop. It came with the YKEASU marking and Viltrox end caps. The CPL filter of mine is uncoated in a lightweight plastic holder, but is still compatible with the Kolari filters, so I haven't checked its optical quality. There's a circuit board and the backs of both sets of contacts visible through the filter slot on mine. I don't know it the filters are compatible between the two mounts, but the shoulder on the EF-M version and the extra cost of developing ṭwo new ranges of filters instead of just copying the full-frame Canon ones in plastic is encouraging. There was a disclaimer on the site "No prepayment of import fees and $8.22 shipping to UK" (Google translation from the German).  Thanks anyway.

Why Not?

I wasn't in the market but for ~$40, why not?

M6m2 plus this plus 18-135 EF-s should be a pretty awesome video kit for times when iPhone is not enough.

I wonder if the quality of the ND filter is up to par.

It was on my wish list but was planning to buy it months later. I wanted one with tripod foot though.
But with this discount is a great value.
Mine arrives Monday, so if you are willing to wait I can let you know of any quality issues.
Amazon has a great return policy, so I didn't hesitate to buy it.
These adapters put a positive spin on adapted lenses, especially with super wide lenses, for video, etc

Re: Why Not?

I too am interested in this adapter. I would like to get the bundle with the clear filter for $129. BUT when I go to check out I'm charged $153. This includes the eos r adapter. NO matter what I try I can't get the $129 bundle at check out. Would someone please correct me. This is $ 213.69 CDN.   no bargen. no discount. Thank you all for any help.

The 70% off coupon is only valid with the VND or CPL filter.
You could buy the other filters separately at the regular price and still remains a good deal.
I ordered it with the VND filter and will order the CPL filter later if the adapter is any good.

For clear, I'd use the normal adapter without filters, is dirt cheap at $37 like this.

The adapter should be a little long (by about ⅓ the thickness of the filter glass) to take account of refraction through the filter and minimise its effect on the lens corrections, so there's a theoretical problem with infinity focus for short focal lengths without it. You would need to tape the slot up to keep dust and stray light out too. The CPL filter on mine is uncoated (unlike my Kolari CPL filter). Even the coated Kolari filter can introduce flare spots with my extreme wideangle if the sun is only just outside the frame.

I think for internal filters like these, it doesn't matter that is no coated since unlike external filters, there are no extraneous light to protect it from.

The Ykeasu adapter with the CPL filter after the coupon is cheaper than if you buy the Clear filter separately, $32 vs $39 lol
In fact I just went ahead and bought the second one, one for the R and this one for the M, the filters are compatible with both mounts and also with the Canon OEM filter adapter.

For sure, the CPL is not the same as the Clear filter, but can act as one indoors or outdoors at certain angles.

But as I said before, the standard EF-M adapter is cheaper, less glass and sturdier than any of their filters. So no real need for the clear filter, IMO
The only minor inconvenience is that you'd need to swap the standard adapter when switching to the VND filter, but on the positive, you can leave one of the adapters "fixed" to one of your EF lenses.

That's not my experience. But I do like contra jour lighting.

I'm expecting these filters to perform well.
Making quality UV or CPL filters is not really cutting edge technology. You can find good conventional UV filters in B&H for less than $20 which are highly rated.
And talking about, experience.
I'll reserve my verdict after testing these adapter/filters for potential issues, that is what will matter in the end.

Filters are compatible with M & R

I just received both adapters and happy to confirm that both filters, the VND and CPL are interchangeable with their R adapter. Both made for Full Frame.
So buying this Adapter with the CPL after the 70% coupon was cheaper than buying the filter itself !
Now I can use both filters in both mounts, R & M.

Both adapters have weather sealing gaskets on the body side and the fit is tight, but the weak link is the filters since these doesn't seem to be sealed but they sit firm in place, with one filter, the CPL having a tiny micro play.
I' haven't done a proper image test yet to examine the filter quality but it looks good so far, no issues.

Great value, recommended.

Good deal but wonder about filter quality

It's a good price, I ordered the one for the RF mount camera as I have the Samyang 14mm f/2.8 which does not give the option for front mounted screw on filters. An VND is useful for softening motion as in water or clouds. Be interesting to see the quality of the filter. A lot of the time a cheaper ND or VND will have a color cast. That of course can easily be corrected in post but for that price I'll try one. I figure upon inspection if it is crap than I will just return it for a refund.
