I have two m's, m and m100. Your M3 got the better build quality of all m cameraes?

The original kit lens is also nicer than the new.

The M200 got the best tech. With the old lens You will get the best pictures.

Compared to M6 i and ii, I could probably use my M3 as a hammer

Buying a kit to get a good discount on a lens is not that unusual. There are even some resellers who just split kits and resell the individual pieces for a small profit. Now, taking this route to specifically pick up a copy of the 15-45mm? That is quite unusual.

It was just suppose to be a lens purchase, but I saw a small deal on the m200 bundle. So might as well

That is a pretty expensive way to pick up a copy of the 15-45mm if you had no use for the M200. MPB has about a hundred of them for sale for far less than a quarter of what you paid for your kit (£55, $52)

I'm from Malaysia, all "new" gear is almost double the price that you quote.

I would be surprised if you didn't make the M200 the main body. The M3 was OK for its time, but it lacks in AF speed and the 1/2 stop worst iso performance. Besides controls and the hot shoe, the M200 should be the better camera.

Why assume that everyone is in US or UK?

FWIW, MBP is available in Germany as well.

Yes I was looking forward to the AF speed too but seriously in all honesty I really think the M3 is not that bad especially for beginners or ppl new to this.

I have a smartphone with PDAF, I've got some Panasonic models with DFD, and I think the M3 focuses super fast.

Now you can shop for 2 used M100 and bundle them with used 15-45mm and 55-200mm!

PS: M100 has sensor cleaning, M200 not.

I wa quoting used "like new" prices.  I don't know what it is like in Malaysia, but in most places, the market is absolutely flooded with used copies of this lens.

That's too bad, I was going to suggest you have it converted to IR or full spectrum.
