in 7 years we'll be using universal shutters by then that never wear out

My 10D shutter wore out but still worked at slower speeds.

Just sold my 20D and 7D.    Both still work fine.

Someone bought a 20D !  Can you believe it ?

I started with a $2K d30 and sold it to get to the 10d -- and then had to sell my siggy 70-200 f2.8 because of focus - so I moved to the 70-200 f4L and then 17 years ago my 70 -200 F2.8 L - my money lens for all those years -- now it is too big for me to handhold

I'll not be selling my m6II anytime soon.  I still have a 7dII that my 55-250 stm and toki 10-17 work well on.

for me it is about the camera/lens match -- and my 32 f1.4 and 100L on my m6II were matches made in heaven

Really sweet camera to use !

Kinda almost don't fumble with it at all sometimes ?

Better know what I am doing with a Fuji with all those dials and buttons at the car show or I will get run over by a hot rod ?

Cheers to the original 70-200 f/2.8L non-stabilized!  Sharp as h#ll and built like a tank.  Could shoot darn near anything in the world with it.  And with such aplomb!

Too chunky for me now too, but if you ever get the hankering, the RF 70-200 f/2.8 is waaay lighter and just as capable.  Throw a 4” arca plate on it to use as a handle and you’re all set!

light with IS, would be nice

within a few years of getting my money lens, I shot 8 division 1 bball games on the baseline along with shots of a Naismith award winner  while seeing how SI covers games with their remote setups

I also got shots of national champions and hall of famers

I was impressed how your 32 f1.4 /m6II did with bball on the short end of the court - I could have used it more than a decade earlier

in retirement now and must watch my pennies

IBM paid the price in the old days by locking out 3rd party with proprietary designs

In 1986 our school bought new computers.

I helped unpack and set them up.

They were IBM stamped Made in China.

8088's

then $1000 clones took over

and IBM tried to lockout with a new II - didn't work

my Lenovo's come from China and are super powered at 1/2 cost of Apples

power, small size, value proposition rule

IBM sold their PC business to Lenovo. End of 2021 IBM still had over 282 000 employees, which is a bit better than Kodak's 4500.
