R6MII and Tamron ?

I have an EOS R which I use for concerts and other thing. I do not shoot birds and animals, except the cats, unless I encounter them by accident and they are near. The concert lighting is often poor and ISO 12800 and above is common and the images can be noisy. There is often strong backlighting which can make autofocus difficult. I always use eye and face detect and tracking. That is my preferred mode and I find that it works well with backlighting. I would like to use ES as this removes the risk of distubing the audiance.

I am tempted by the R6 II. However I have both the Tamron 24-70 F2.8 VC G1 and the 70-200 F2.8 G1. There is a firmware upgrade for them both which provides compatibility withe the R3, R5, R6, R7 and R10. I have not installed this update as it is not required for the R. I think that Tamrons are comming to the end of support (5 years after being withdrawn from sale). If a new firmware upgrade was required it may not be available for the G1s.

Has anyone tried the Tamron 24-70 and/or the 70-200, the G1 or G2 versions ( with the latest firmware applied ) on an R6 II ?

I could get an R5 and the compatibility problem goes away. However the corners and borders of the 24-70 are not good on high Mp sensors until it is closed down to F5.6 or F8. If I replace the 24-70 this pushes up the effective price of the R5 even further. It would end up being much cheaper to go for the R6 II, use my existing RF 70-200 F4 and replace the 24-70 or perhaps just keep the R and save my money.
