I purchased this as a second body with the 18-55mm IS kit lens. It has produced some excellent quality pictures (Mostly outdoors but some indoors as well.)

It is light-weight and easy to take around with my 1200D (Canon Rebel T5).

I can definitely recommend this to any hobbyist photographers out there. It sure has some decent features for the price we pay.

The Entire SL Line is Worthy

I use an SL1 for heavier, longer lenses that just get too heavy on my 7D w/ battery grip.

Tiny, light... a perfect counter to a heavy lens.
