Lumix FZ-80 Vs Coolpix B500

Hello all,

My friend in India wants to do video with good voice recording for interviews and travelogues . He wants to buy either Lumix FZ-80 Vs Coolpix B500.

I advised my friend to buy Lumix FZ-300 for swivel screen , brighter lens. But he thinks longer zoom is better for his bird videos!!. So among Lumix FZ-80 Vs Coolpix B500 which one might be better for him?

Look at the side-by-side comparison.

The FZ-80 is: newer, has (slightly) more MP, shoots raw, has 60x zoom, opens up to 2.8, has a higher rez screen, also has a EVF, slower minimum shutter, allows both shutter and aperture priority mode options, supports external flash.

I think if the only choice is between these two cameras, I'd go for the Lumix.

That said, I'm not sure how successful one would be tracking BIF using a 60x zoom factor (but then again, I suppose anything is possible with enough practice).
