Hi everyone,

I've been a long time customer of DxO Photolab as an alternative to anything Adobe. Now it seems they have forced my hand to move to Adobe Lightroom.

When I loaded some intial test images into DxO Photolab 4 Elite, none of the images loaded. I opened a support ticket with them:

The camera you mentioned is already on our development roadmap, but has not yet been scheduled for release. Due to this, I unfortunately cannot give you a time frame for support at this time. Please monitor the following link now and then to find out more about the expected release date:

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us again.

Kind regards;

Another search shows support coming in January 2023

It's unfortunate, as I was just about to upgrade to DxO Photolab 6, I guess that upgrade will now go to Adobe Lightroom. The Canon Photo Professional 4 still looks like it was a high school co-op assignment, but will convert RAW in a pinch.

You’re really not willing to wait perhaps 2 months? DXO deliver on their promises and produce really good profiles. Often they have profiles before Adobe, for example the RF 16mm 2.8. I assume you also have a very good working knowledge of how Photolab works, a considerable investment in time and effort. Why relearn?
Personally I have DXO PL5 and no need as yet to update, also the Adobe photography plan so LR and PS, plus Affinity. I use them all, each has strengths, but my core workflow is RAW conversion in PL.

Sometimes people cannot wait. This may be from just wanting to get the best from their camera, or for commercial reasons. If you have work to do, contracts to fulfill etc you simple have to use tools available at the time.

This is great news, I'm assuming RF lens with the R6 Mark II are supported as well?

Thanks for the update.

Re: DxO Photolab does not support Canon R6 Mark II....

Hello,

As I read above, PhotoLab 6 should already support Canon R6 Mk II. Why on the official page the current state is still:

"Canon EOS R6 Mark II

Canon RF 24-70mm F2.8L

DxO PhotoLab 5.7.0

DxO PureRAW 2.4.0"

It does. It also supports PureRaw 2.

Don't know about Pure RAW but DXO Photo Lab supports it. I'm on v6.3.1

I think it means the version the support is starting with.

Eg. The support for Canon EOS R6 Mark II started with DxO PhotoLab 5.7.0.

Ok, this make sense, I hope.

I also read that DxO make often sales. As Black Friday is far away, what's the next occasion for a sale? Easter? 😬

There was a time when DxO used to give away fully working copies of the previous version (on the CD or DVD that came with some of the photography magazines) or as a download link address in the magazine that qualified you for the upgrade discount. I suspect you will have to wait until the end of November though.
