Firmware 1.70 broken?

I just tried twice to upgrade my X-T4 from 1.60 to 1.70 and the camera stops upgrading with the error "The formware is broken, shut the camera off".

I downloaded it again, and the same result.

Anyone succeded?

If you have a bad download, then you must clear you browsers cache or use a different browser before downloading again or you will get the bad cached copy.

Other things to try:

- Format card in camera

- Use a different card

- Use the app

I've had that once with a firmware upgrade for my X-T3. It was probably a broken download and when I tried again a few weeks later with a different browser, it worked smoothly.

So do as Morris says. Try with a different browser.

Another pc did it, funny thing..

I would never do a firmware upgrade via the App. I'm sure many have (with success) but the app is just such a temperamental pile of garbage that I wouldn't dare trust it with such an important task.
