X-T5 AF-Assist Illuminator Issue

The AF-Assist Illuminator on my X-T5 is flaky. Usually, it does not light up in dark conditions when 1/2 pressing the shutter release or pressing the AF-ON button. Less often, after pressing the release or button for a while, the AF-Assist Illuminator LED will light. Other times it won't, but it will come on after I stop pushing a button, usually after moving the camera a bit.

In the same, dark lighting conditions, my old X-T2's AF-Assist Illuminator is active when I press the AF-ON button or 1/2 press the shutter release. I think that all the relevant settings are the same on both my X-T2 and X-T5.

The AF-Assist Illuminator problem on my X-T5 is happening in AF-C or AF-S Single Point, Face/Eye Detect or no Face/Eye Detect. AF Illuminator is turned on in the AF/MF settings.

Is anyone else experiencing this behavior on their X-T5? Is there something that I'm missing? I wonder if my AF-Assist Illuminator issue is a firmware bug or a camera malfunction. I rarely use the AF-Assist Illuminator, but it would give me some peace of mind if it worked normally.

I posted this in my thread, but my AF lamp comes on in AF-S after holding down the shutter release, or AF-On button, after a couple of seconds.
