Monochrome Images for the month of December, 2022
1

Alright all you monochrome shooters:

December is here and time to show your monochrome images for this month. Remember that all Sigma Cameras and lenses are welcome and an occasional image made with other cameras pulled from your archive. Try to limit you post to 3 images and to give your post a title so that comments will be properly directed.

Lets shoot some monochrome images and have some old school fun.

This image was made with the sd Quattro and the 18-35 mm Art lens.  The shot was taken between short rain showers.  The sky was overcast and the light very flat.  The B&W conversion was done in Affinity Photo.

Enjoy!

MTO 1000

Some shots from the 1970s with a Russian (or Ukrainian?) mirror lens.

The film grain is half the fun. Digitized with the sdQH and the Olympus OM 80mm bellows macro lens.

No spots.

Maybe I should look on eBay for another MTO 1000. I think I had that one for only a short time -- perhaps on loan.

Seems interesting! Do you have any m42 cameras still or do you plan to adapt it? Also, what film did you shoot on?

The film was HP5 developed in Acuspeed. I have no idea what camera I used, but it must have been borrowed as I've never owned an M42 camera.

If you put the lens on a solid tripod, you can get quite sharp images, but I was just after the tele compression effect.

Hi Roger, thanks for sharing your monochrome images. I think if you have this many images you should put them on a separate post. Thanks

The focus patch is almost completly blocked by the lens, but I had to try it.

… Bjoern: Very strong, dynamic image with a nice balance and proportion of clean, clear resolution and low definition.
