28mm Lens Cap Replacement?

Hello,

I'm trying to find a lens cap replacement for my 28mm 1:2,8 M. Zuiko lens and wanted to know what lens caps would be compatible with this as it seems I can't find any for just the 28mm?

Please help! Or does anyone have any ingenious way to cap your lenses to protect them?!

thank you!

Re: 28mm Lens Cap Replacement?

Do you mean this lens ?

if so, it takes a 49mm lens cap. Very common (Ebay and the like...)

If it isn't that lens, post a photo of it or a link to one.

Re: 28mm Lens Cap Replacement?

I had a glance through the DPR lens database and couldn't see an M Zuiko 28mm f2.8 lens. Could you post a photo of your lens?

Re: 28mm Lens Cap Replacement?

Confusing because for a start the question is in the compact Olympus camera forum.

As you pointed out there is no M Zuiko, that is the were M stands for Maitani (with the new OM system line up) and not a letter used in the old Zuiko (film era lenses).

In the early days Olympus used W/S/ and T before Zuiko to denote the type of lens (W =wide) then for a few years there was a letter after Auto denoting the number of elements, for example

"G. Zuiko = 7 elements, but I haven't seen a 28mm f/2.8 with an F.Zuiko on it or M for that matter. (could be a W read  upside down as in the photo)
