My X-T5 freezes when my 27 WR is in A mode upon turning on. . I don't shoot with it that way but it always slides into it when installing the lens.

I haven't had any issues like this with mine. I'm running the latest firmware.

My husband and I both have XT5s, purchased at the same time from the same source.  His has this same issue, with freezing on making changes to his MyMenu.  He has to pop out the battery to get out of the freeze.  Mine does not have this bug.

That's a head-scratcher!  Mine (X-H2) does not display any lockups or freeze.

Have you checked to see if firmware is updated?  I had same issue and it fixed after update.  Several others had reported the same.

I'm on the latest firmware and so far haven't had any problems with lock ups. Any problems I am having with the camera I can attribute directly to the fact I'm still not 100% familiar with it and there are some settings that I just have to ask myself "why is this in there" (like why do we have to turn on the hot shoe/PC socket?), and that I am transitioning from a very different camera and menu system.

I tested mine and that combination works fine. I’m up to date on all firmware.

Same but now I need to see if it's a 3rd party battery thing. Easy to check.....brb
