EVF touch screen focus function on X-H2/X-H2S

I am a long time Nikon user highly interested in Fujifilm camera and lenses, particularly the recent great releases of the X-H2, X-H2S and X-T5. I apologize in advance if my questions below are boring/dumb from a standpoint of a Fuji user, however, this is something that I perceive as an interesting and positive difference to the cameras I currently use.

I have seen some YT videos showing the "Touch screen setting" and "EVF touch screen area settings" menus from older fuji cameras and I wondered:

1) Can the touch screen be used to set the focus point while looking on the EVF of the X-H2/X-H2S cameras?

2) Can this set up be used on either/both single and continuous autofocus?

Thank you very much for your attention and help!

On my X-S10 you can set the focus point with the touch screen while looking through the EVF for single and continuous. Same for XT3, XT4, so for sure on the X-H2, X-H2S. Though it makes sense why no X-H2, X-H2S reviews mentioned this since its been on Fuji cameras for some time.

Yes, though many of us turn off the touch screen's touch feature as our nose and/or creek will touch the screen and cause problems.

2) Can this set up be used on either/both single and continuous autofocus?

Yes

Yup… the other posters are correct. But unless you have the world’s smallest nose and tiny fingers, you’ll find it to be almost unusable. It’s the first thing I turn off when setting up the camera to avoid “wondering where the heck my focus point went?”

From my experience reading posts like yours, there’s 100 of them asking why their focus point box keeps randomly moving about, disappearing, to 1 post like yours asking if it’s possible to use EVF and LCD touch for focus box / focusing. The “where’d it go?” posters are very glad to learn how to turn it off.

On the other hand, on a tripod, using the LCD for composition, the touch focus on the LCD can be really useful.

Agree

But still useful to add more Fn as T Fn with the thumb command on the screen to off, then only a finger flick can get one of the 4 T Fn and I guees my nose won't be recognized for such a purpose

Didn't think about that. Thanks a lot Morris!
