Canon Eos 1200D great for amateur photographer

I am amateur cosplay photographer, i recommended this for beginner photographer cause its easy to operate and settings your photo, the 18-55mm F/3.5 - F/5.6 IS II lens is great to use, i not recommended this for low light, if using this in low light i suggest using external flash/camera flash.

My thoughts

Hola,

The 1200D was my very first DSLR. I learnt "proper" photography on it. It's a nice camera.

One thing - I don't think the camera deserves -5* for low-light performance. Certainly it's not the best, but imagine doing the same thing with an entry-level compact released in 2005.

Thanks for taking the time to write a review.

Re: My thoughts

I agree that it should not have negative 5 for low light performance. The camera was released a little over 7 years ago and it would be good until at least ISO 800, depending on the lighting. That would be OK...not great...but adequate for what was available at the time.

I would recommend always spending a little more money and getting one of the better Canon cameras with built-in sensor cleaning. The Canon T5 (1200D) does not have this feature.
