X-T4 AF box placement

Often, when I pick up my X-T4 and turn it on, the AF focus indicator has moved to the perimeter of the frame, often in the very corner; it wasn't there when I last used the AF. I typically use a fairly small AF indicator and always with the focus mode set to "S".

Any ideas?

Re: X-T4 AF box placement

I've seen this issue come up in this forum and others. If you have the touchscreen active, it may be that the focus point is being changed accidentally by being brushed up against another surface when not in use. This has happened on all of my cameras with a touchscreen, usually when I'm walking with the camera hanging against my body. One suggestion I've seen is to turn the touchscreen function off, but I cannot go that far.

Turning off the touch screen was my solution!

Re: X-T4 AF box placement

Thanks, Michael! I never thought of the touch screen because I've long ago disabled that feature on all my Fujifilm cameras. Somehow I inadvertently enabled it...
