Questions re Lens Correction in DPP

My understanding is that DPP offers lens correction for native Canon lenses.

I shoot RAW. When I look at a picture with DPP's Quick View, or open a picture for editing, am I seeing the corrected version by default? If so, is there a way to toggle this off temporarily to see the effect?

Also, I own one non-native lens, Sigma 100-400 contemporary. I am very pleased with the results, yet I have never looked for any kind of DPP profile plug-in for this lens. Does such a thing exist? Is the improvement noticeable?

Thank you.

There is a setting in “Setup” for turning on/off the recipe application when viewing images in “Quick View.”  It wouldn’t provide an A/B view though.  I don’t know if this applies to automatic lens corrections either, so you’ll have to try it out to see.

Best of luck,

Click on the Lens Tab (below) and toggle on/off lens optimizations

Just fair warning.   Canon does not allow you to see uncorrected files for some lenses.  The RF 24-240 and RF 24-105 STM come to mind.  Some lenses have lens corrections as an integral part of their design performance.  Seeing them uncorrected just leaves people disappointed.  You can see uncorrected files in third party software.

I’m not sure if this is the case with any M mount lenses.
