Alien on Earth
3

A specimen of the same species of very small ants, as in the topic called "Scary?", from another perspective.
103 stacked images, captured at low resolution (6MP) for an S3D project.

A ~0.5mm detail of the front of the head, built from 154 stacked images.
The complexity of the details is much better highlighted (impossible to imagine from a flat perspective) in stereoscopic 3D format (image available in the dedicated forum).

Made with a vintage E. Leitz Wetzlar microscope objective.

Re: Alien on Earth

These are excellent.
Strange to see the underside of the mandibles.
The single piece of the jaw is finely detailed.
I have got the shake & vibration out of my rig.
I'll do a stack later.

Re: Alien on Earth

I found your S3D stack.
Unfortunately I haven't mastered cross eyed viewing.

It's very simple, you just need a little patience for the first success.
