Should I be worried that the M lenses will also be discontinued?

I love the M6II, and bought now extra 2 bodies.
should I buy an extra of at least the 32 f1.4, which without it I’ll probably will not be happy, or there is no reason to think that if I’ll need a replacement in the future, there will be a problem to buy a new one?

They should be available in the used market.

I know. I'm not sure how reliable that going to be.

Never bought anything used.

My question was about new.

Re: Should I be worried that the M lenses will also be discontinued?

In anticipation of this discontinuation I bought two new bodies -2 new 32mm- one each of every other canon ef-m  lens except the 18-150 and the infamous 15-45. I also picked up a sigma 56 and Laowa 65 macro. I am guessing there will probably be a lot of used M gear floating around in the near future and will probably try to glean what I can there. This is the only route that makes sense to me at this point. Gotta have a plan.

Why new lenses if you plan to buy used?

Third parties will continue as long as their lenses sell profitably - it will be a few years before they crack the RF lens market. The big question is whether anybody will buy them, given that very few EOS M users have more than a couple of lenses.

Wait until Canon makes an announcement to discontinue EF-M

Save some money and wait for an announcement at least.  That would be my plan.

I think bodies are less durable than lenses, so there might be enough lenses around for this reason as long as your body works.

45 is more than enough, but 500.000 isn't

回复:我应该担心M镜头也会停产吗?

Is the suspension of production equivalent to a rapid price reduction? New and second-hand markets?--
