Round Hay Bales
3

At one of the pumpkin patch farms I visited this September and October, I saw these colorful round hay bales. You will also see a little layer of brown in the sky. That was because of all the wildfire smoke we had in the mountains and elsewhere. I hope you like them.

Round Hay Bales - Thanks

Thanks.  I was very busy this autumn at many pumpkin patch farms.  This was a new farm for me.  There were lots of activities.

The first photo looks tough to take with the shadows and bright lighting. That's great you had good weather. I like seeing the grebes. They look like to be a cross between a swan and a heron (with some imagination). Ah, you got another fungus without too many blemishes. I like your squirrel too. I also saw one this past Saturday that I captured that was similar, at ISO6400 too.

No lunar ecplise visible here in DFW

It is looking like clouds and rain overnight here... so no lunar eclipse, yet again, for the 2nd time in a row here.

Tomorrow for us in the Portland, Oregon area we are forecast to have partly cloudy skies with no rain.  We'll have to wait and see.

Nice. I like the squirrel.

Could I ask you a general question - Do you manually type the metadata in the description bar, or do you copy it from somewhere?

The Lunar eclipse this morning... It was quite cloudy, and humid, but there were the occasional gaps in the fast moving low level clouds that allowed me to capture a few images.

Thanks.  It was getting dark, so I lowered the shutter speed.  But it still needed ISO6400.

Wow...great...that's a real nice image.  I'm glad you were able to find the moon between the clouds.

Re: Kingsbury Water Park. part II

Hi Digirame, Thank You.

The first photo is with a little help from Lightroom whilst post processing.

The lakes where I stayed had a mixture of waterfowl on them and from talking to a local photographer he told me they get a lot of different species flying in to winter on these lakes.

Super picture of the squirrel Digirame, your noise in the photo looks good at 6400ISO whilst the 7D mkII struggled at those ISO's, now we have software to combat those noisy pictures and I've been able to re-visit some old unusable pictures and be happy with the resulting photos. A side note to this, don't ever delete photos you're unhappy with, technology is improving all the time.

Hi Dunlin, Thank You.

I use a software program that I created to do the hard work, that way I can show the metadata that I want to and omit the stuff I don't, for instance my 7D mkII writes the exact location of my pictures (gps) into EXIF and I may not want that showing so stripping it out with Lightroom I'm then able to show the metadata that I want to with my program.

This is the program below, if you're interested and want to give it a go let me know and i'll PM you with a link to my Onedrive so you can download it. (I'm guessing you use Windows.)

I'll not be back home till Monday so that'll be the earliest I can put it on Onedrive.
