Thanks for the prompt reply Morris , they must have sorted out that bug , at least with a XT3 and TT 685F and also via the X2T trigger.

The Nissin product definitely seems higher quality , I ended up going with Godox as I can get it in Studio hire kit at a reasonable price , and as long as the Fuji transmitter is on the camera it will talk to other brand specific Godox lighting . So I can shootGodox/Nikon kit with a couple of  larger strobes and the XT2 F will communicate with the same strobes if I want to do some photography with a Fuji body .

I cut Godox a lot of slack too just from price point alone , speedlight , transmitter , stand , bracket and an umbrella was substantially cheaper than a Nikon 910, or a set of pocket wizards .

Hi Aaron,

Godox worked great with my Nikon bodies.  I never found a bug though they lacked TTL-BL which is a very nice Nikon feature.

Oh no, I have the same problem. This is bad.
My XH2 froze first when I used it with a Godox X1-T Trigger, and today with the on-camera flash Godox TT685II-F. The camera never froze before without the flash.
Has anyone contacted Fujifilm and/or Godox support?

What configuration and/or combination of SD/cfx card did you use?

Re: xh-2 freezing when using Godox

Good question. There is a CFX Sony Tough Card and a Sandisk SD Card (200MB/s?) in the camera. I don't remember what card I shot on, most probably the Sony Tough.

Just asking because I think shooting a fast CFexpress and a slow v30 SD card in combination made my set up freeze, but I'm not actually sure.

I have not had freezes for 3-4 months, before that it was quite often.

My X-H2 would randomly freeze with Godox Flash X-ProF trigger, since 1.20 firmware it has not happened, perhaps before.

My X-H2s would freeze just randomly, I then stopped shooting Back up to SD and haven't had issues since, but I have no idea if that was the actual bug or if it froze for another reason.

Re: xh-2 freezing when using Godox

Interesting, but I never shot backup to SD, just either to CFExpress or SD. So I don't believe this is the reason.

I contacted Godox support team ( servicesupport@godox.com) and they sent me a quick reply asking for a video of the problem. Would probably help them fix the issue if we can send multiple videos of freeze scenarios.
Godox support also mentioned that their technicians haven't had a chance to test their products with the Fujifilm X-H2 camera yet. Hopefully they will soon and provide us with firmware updates for their products

Today, I had the same issue with XH2S and Godox V860iii. It freezed several times while I was using the flash. no issue with out the flash.

I had to remove the battery to rest the camera!

Also, both camera and flash firmwares are the latest!

looking for the resean..

I rented the fuji brand flash, and camera froze up.

Thinking of sending to fuji for repair, but with other people having the issue, not sure what they can do.

I rented a fuji brand flash so see if it was a godox issue, and the camera froze.  I think it is a fuji issue.    what is best way to solve with fuji?

Have you called Fuji Tech support yet?  If you live in the USA it is an uncomplicated call to New Jersey.  Curious what they have to say.

As I just suggested in an answer to another post, try giving a call to Fuji support and get their take.  You have a lot of experience now with off and on-brand strobes.

The problem is either a software issue, which they can fix via firmware, or there is a short somewhere when a flash gets mounted, and that would be a very bad thing.  Is weird that a Fuji flash causes the same problem 🤔

Now you can report this to Fuji support.  It should result in a firmware update.  It could take a few months till you see it.

Agreed.  As far as the short is concerned, the issue has happened to more than one H2 owner.  One may think it is beyond a short and a general wiring issue requiring a firmware up date.  We can only hope a FW will be the fix.  FWIW when I used my H2 w/Godox on 2 separate occasions, it worked fine.
