Never really needed one, it's so small, but for some if you vlog, it's on gimbal / cage / or some small tripod.

If you are using it with big lens then just use anchor link from peak design and use any of your neck straps or buy one of peak design cuff.

I use and like the Peak Design Cuff. Smallrig makes a virtual copy for half the price.

DIY solution - take an existing M neck strap, cut it in half (measure wrist size requirement first).  If your wrist size is not too large you will be able to make two wrist straps from one neck strap.

Once cut, undo the threads holding the uncut end of the strap.  Next fold the cut end over  and re-stitch the two ends together.  With a sewing machine the entire mod can be accomplished in about 5 minutes.  Connect the wrist strap to the camera.  I use the right end.

I've used this on an original M, M2, M50, first M6II, and will be putting one on my second M6II that arrived earlier today.

Need two bodies for a shoot?  Use the neck strap on the body with the heaviest lens and the wrist strap on the other body.  This is a convenient solution I've been using for several years.

Nice idea!  Would you attach a photo or two of your DIY strap so we can see it -- how it's made, how it attaches to the camera, etc.?  Thanks!

Found this 1.
like it because:

1. connected to camera with a metal ring and not a thread that can be ripped.
2. it adjustable.

anyone tried it?

Re: Any recommendations for a good but not big wrist strap for M6II?

I occasionally shoot concert events where two bodies are substantially more efficient than having to constantly change lenses - e.g. I might have a 6D + 70-200L around my neck and a M6II + EF85 f/1.8 prime on my wrist.  Even when hanging on my wrist the weight of the M6 & smaller prime does not inhibit shooting with the larger 6D + L zoom ... and I can switch back & forth quickly.

When I'm doing the tourist thing I usually carry the M6 (on my wrist) and a couple of M lenses in a small shoulder bag.  Since the camera is always by my side except when shooting, most people don't even realize I have a camera.  The system is simple, inexpensive, and it works well - at least for me.

The only downside (and it's not a downside for me) is this wrist strap is NOT a quick detachable type.  I've tried several of the detachable straps, even tried adapting a quick release to my current wrist straps and I was never satisfied with the security of the release mechanisms that I was using.  I purposely tested several of the quick release setups and was able to break most of them with little effort.  So the OEM direct connection is all I trust at this point.

Re: Any recommendations for a good but not big wrist strap for M6II?

Optech USA have neoprene wrist straps that are quite small. I  wrap the original neck strap around the palm of my hand though and when I need both hands free to change lenses or answer the phone for instance I put the strap around my neck .

Decided on this set up.

cheap, sturdy, compact.

Added a back up in case the ring will break.

Not taking space in the bag, and protecting the lens as well.

What a good idea of a backup strap added!

By the way, here are my set-ups.

Current: Joby + PeakDesign quick release connector (replica) + lug ring

I was looking for a wrist strap as well... but ended up doing a diy strap off of a piece of paracord and a fishing split ring. This strap and a small pouch let me take the m6-2 with a single lens anywhere I go (I'd normally put it on my belt in summer).

Why diy?

1. Dirt cheap.

2. Fits my hand perfectly and the loop is lockable.

3. I am 100% sure it will not fail since a) the split ring is rated 47 kg for rupture and b) a single piece of 4 mm paracord will withstand a lot more load than the m6-2.

It's not the best photo. If you are interested I can do more pictures in a week. Or you can search youtube for e.g 'camera paracord lanyard' or 'snake knot lanyard'

(I know the paracord color is kinda funny... but that was all I had on hand)

Take care.

I add my vote for the PD Cuff. It really is fast and easy to remove and attach.
