Sometimes out of focus is the best focus...

Here's an example...

I was photographing my Phidippus Putnami female jumping spider. While focus bracketing, she moved, but not until after I had taken about 160 shots, which focus bracketed up until right before the eyes, but after the hairs under the eyes...

So I stacked the images in Helicon and was quite pleased with the result...

Olympus EM1 Mark 2, MC-20 teleconverter, Kenko 16mm extension tube, Olymous 60mm macro lens, Raynox 250

5x magnification, iso200, f4.5, focus bracket mode 1/10, stacked in Helicon, Method C, Sharpened some in Topaz Sharpen. Make sure you open to full screen!

I like the angle that shows the fangs.  The palps make a nice frame.
