Smallest Case for M5 (or M50) and 18-150mm?

I'm looking for the smallest case available for this combo. I have the M5 but I believe the M50 is the same size. This is for throwing in a rucksack, so I don't need straps, waistband clips, space for accessories or anything else, just the bare camera and lens.

A hard shell case would be ideal for protection, but a neoprene case would be a good second choice.

I've done a lot of searching for this but can't find much. My wife has offered to make one but she's got a lot of other projects on!

I bought a Lowepro format 120 some years ago to house the original M plus 18-55 . No longer have that combo but have the M50 MKII plus 18 -150 and it fits in by placing sideways . A bit snug but put it protects the camera while in a backpack. Not available new but a well known  auction site should have some used ones for sale.

I use a JJC neoprene for my M5. Likewise, I wanted something that would offer a little protection when I throw it in a rucksack, whilst not being bulky or heavy.

Whilst mine is only large enough to accommodate the camera with 18-55mm attached, I see they offer a larger version that will take the 18-55 or 55-200

FWIW, this is the smaller version I use.

If you live in the USA, Here's a link to the JJC neoprene case on Amazon. Fits my M50ii and 18-150 great.

I actually have this one:

But both are same size and pretty much the same solid quality.

Since people are suggesting bags, I can also recommend the ThinkTank Mirrorless Mover 5. https://www.thinktankphoto.com/products/mirrorless-mover-5

I use it for my M5 and 18-150mm. I find that it has the perfect size for me, especially when traveling light. The camera and lens combo fits snuggly, and I can carry a side battery or two, extra SD cards and other tiny things in the side pocket.

Thank you, I have seen that model (nearly all my other bags are ThinkTank, including one I just use as a 'manbag' - nothing to do with camera gear). However one reviewer said "i bought this for a canon m5. the body fits in the bag, but nothing else, if you have a 22mm lens, this will also fit when attached, but if you want anything other lens on the camera, its no use". I am therefore obviously confused as you seem to say it's perfect??

It definitely fits bigger lenses than the 22mm. It might be a bit tight for some, especially if you have a large camera strap, but it works well with smaller ones. Here's a photo of how the M5, 18-150mm and a peak design leash fits in the bag

Thank you for taking the time to send photos. I greatly appreciate it. I have no idea why this font is coming out BOLD. Oh well.

In these times of online shopping, it's so difficult to get a feel for bag sizes. This looks a good candidate. Maybe the other reviewer was trying to put the camera in on its side??

There is some issue with the editor right now.

Re: Smallest Case for M5 (or M50) and 18-150mm?

I had a neoprene case for my M6ii and 18-150 but I hardly use it. Nowadays, I use the Think Tank Turnstyle 10 a lot. However, what I end up using the most is one of those Domke wraps:

https://tiffen.com/products/domke-color-coded-protective-wrap?variant=14210577137706

You can wrap the camera with the 18-150 and leave the strap hanging out. I just sling it over my shoulder and when I want to take a picture, the wrap just goes in my back pocket until I'm finished. My around town kit is typically M6ii, 18-150, and either the 22 or the 32. Recently it's just the 22 and the Sigma 56 I just got. The protective wrap is great for just the camera and the 18-15, or even the 18-150 and the 22.

Re: Smallest Case for M5 (or M50) and 18-150mm?

Thank you. This is looking like a nice choice. I can see why I dismissed this choice previously - The internal dimensions are listed in the TT website as 12cm high, and the combo is 14.5! But you've shown it fits. Weird.
