Brilliant, but BIG!

This lens right here produces really nice and sharp images across the entire range, already at f/2.8.

I was arguing with myself for quite some time between the f/2.8 and f/4 version of this focal range (14-35 vs 15-35). I ended up with the f/2.8 version mainly because the barrel distortion was near nothing compared to the f/4 version. I also didn't like the correction profiles required to make the f/4 to be a 14mm at it's widest. But that's something you might not be bothered with.

I mainly shoot landscapes with this, and mostly work with 15/24/35mm. I had the 16mm and 35mm RF primes before this zoom lens. While it's not necessary fair to compare them due to different use cases. It might make up some minds for some that are more interested in the focal length rather than the macro and/or the low light capability of the primes. I found it more useful and price worthy to have one RF15-35 f/2.8 over RF16, RF24 and RF35.

I never tested the RF24, but had the two others. I never liked the RF16 because of the insane barrel distortion and poor looking light stars. The RF35 was good, but the focus was slow.

The light stars in the RF15-35 looks good!

The main drawbacks is that it's heavy and large, a bit worse to hike with. But it's worth the pain - ditch the tripod instead
