My pet jumping spider
7

His name is Inky....he's a Maevia Inclemens dimorphic jumping spider.  Just about 4.5mm long total, here he is taking down a larger than himself housefly...

Olympus EM1 Mark 2, MC-20 Teleconverter, Kenko 16mm extension tube and Olympus 60mm macro lens

Focus Bracket mode 1/10

Focus stacks of 90 and 116 images....f4.5, iso200, stacked in Helicon, Method C

Held a GODOX 126LED over his housing with a diffuser to get acceptable lighting.

He recently shed his skin (called "molting") , similar to a snake...as they grow they outgrow their exoskeleton....the head cap piece came off in one hollowed out head covering....filled it with sand grains for a spooky Halloween image..

Just about 2mm field of view here!

A beautiful creature! You say it's your pet - where does it sleep?

Nice work.

I have a small plastic vented insect container where he lives and eats and sleeps
