Re: Silver M6ii back in stock 12/13

My refurb kit came in the M200 and lens look new. But is it normal for the battery to come without a protective cover? It was in a locked plastic bag and in bubble wrap. But no plastic protective cover on the battery terminals.

Apologies if this is a stupid question.

I can't wait to get one when there's another price drop .I would not abandon my M mount as yet , once it still works .

Thanks for your recommendations.

I used ShutterCheck and it showed sub 1000 clicks (the tool quoted that for some cameras it will only show 1K increments) and I'm assuming I'm lucky to get a new body (unless it was reset before packaging)

My refurbished M6II came with a new battery in the package.

You got lucky! I ran ShutterCheck on the M6II (black) refurb I received last week and it reports a count of 3000. The camera has zero signs of prior use. I was bit surprised to see the 3k, I was thinking it would be less than that. I'm liking it so far though, nice step up from my Mark 1 M6.

It's not a stupid question.  I have received two refurbs, and as I recall they both had the cover.  You can always ask Canon to send one, but if it were me, I would probably let it go if they don't send you one.

I happened to come across this guy's unboxing of a refurb M6 II and his battery came just like mine, without the battery terminal protective cover. His battery came with scratches as well (mine did too). But those glossy black are scratch magnets. I assume these are not new batteries though, some did come with new batteries apparently.

I actually decided recently to send that camera in and got a replacement back from Canon instead of them repairing/returning the camera I sent. The button with an issue got a lot worse and started sounding sticky/crunchy. Anyways, editing a follow-up video right now on the process.

The replacement they sent oddly enough was a full refurbished kit so it included another battery/charger. The battery was in a taped plastic bag with no cap.

Well that's the way they're supplying them, then.  Take it or leave it.

But a sticky button?  I wouldn't accept that either.

True, I should have RMA-ed the original.

Also, my mistake, the battery came in a little zip-top bag. The charger was the one in a tape sealed bag.

I wouldn't worry about the battery.  I'm sure it will be just fine.  They last a long time, and the risk is small.

Yes my battery came the same way. In a zip top bag without the plastic protector for the battery terminals. Thanks for confirming that is how they send some of them. Your video was the best unboxing I saw.
