The bigger than the biggest problem with the OM5

hmm I got nothing...
Oh yah  finally noticed shutter shock with my EPM2 specially on the long side of the lens when doing hdr. One of the frames is always blurry its usually the second over exposed one. I don't think anti shock works in HDR mode, gonna have to  try using it with normal bracketing and a remote trigger I guess.

I can't believe OM Systems hasn't developed new firmware for the old cameras, how dare they...

Let me help you with that:

First, is the body fully metal, or is it the same polycarbonate mix that cursed the E-M5.2?

Why doesn't the OM5 support ND32 like the E-M1.3?  That seems like an arbitrary and capricious limitation.

Too bad about the menus.  I guess we have to wait for the next camera to see if OMDS can get uniformity among its bodies.  For those of us who were contemplating pairing the OM-5 with the OM-1, it just doesn't cut it.  Might as well keep the E-M1.3.

The biggest problem with the OM5...it isn't compelling.

OMG! Shutter shock?! On an EPM2?!! With a long lens!!?? OMG!! I guess I need to dump my OM stuff and run back to the safety of Nikon!!

Why dont they update firmware for older cameras? Why do they need to hide new stuff they are working on from their customers? Why do we keep electing the same idiots we complain about year after year? Why do flies need to see in almost all directions at once?

Inconceivable!!!

Probably not raining as much though as we are getting lately in Sydney, average about 1200mm/yr, this year past 2200mm already https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-10-06/sydney-breaks-annual-rainfall-record/101506452
