I just thought the "waisting" comment (from Alex) was very weird from someone who shoots with an M50 II.

Hi MyM6II

As Larry has explained so eloquently the reasoning behind my statement and you "agree with everything you say" why are you finding my comment "weird"?

I wasn't saying use the Sigma on the M50ii (24mp) and not the M200(24mp); I was merely referring to the extra resolution of the M6ii as the OPs question was referring to the M6ii and the M200.

I bought the M50ii over the M6ii because I like built-in EVFs and using an extrenal flash which clearly the M50ii is the better camera of the two for MY needs, but I do recognise that the M6ii is able to resolve a higher pixel count.

As for the comparison between the Canon 22.2 and Sigma 56/1.4, it was based not only on my findings (I have sold the 22/2 as a result of the disappointing results) but seems to be an opinion shared by many others too.

Hope that helps clarify my statement and advise.

Nice image - you'll soon fall in love with it (just like many of us here) especially when you start shooting portraits, kids, animals with it!

Hi MyM6II

As Larry has explained so eloquently the reasoning behind my statement and you "agree with everything you say" why are you finding my comment "weird"?

As Larry said: "I can't agree that using the Siggy on a 24 MP sensor camera is 'wasting' it"

And I agree with him.

I wasn't saying use the Sigma on the M50ii (24mp) and not the M200(24mp); I was merely referring to the extra resolution of the M6ii as the OPs question was referring to the M6ii and the M200.

When it comes to the EF-M 22mm f/2 it seems to be extremely popular in this forum.

When I destroyed mine by an accident, I ordered a new one the same day. The Siggy 56 is a great lens but I would 10 times rather have the EF-M 22mm if I had to choose between them.

Hope that helps clarify my statement and advise.

I like all three lenses, and the 32mm is also a winner in my pocket (most probably my most used lens in the EF-M system).

The Sigma lens is great. The only downsides I can think of are the different colors, where all other Canon EF-M mount lenses produce similar results, and the size which is kind of big for your typical EF-M mount body. Otherwise it’s a lovely piece of glass, and one of just two third-party lenses I own.

I think the colors of the Canon 32 are a little bit warmer than the Sigma 30. The Sigma is a little bit cool. But it is a superb lens. I am glad I have it. The 56 is also very light weight and handy, so I can not resist...

Compared to my Zuiko 300mm it is certainly very lightweight, not so much compared to your typical EF-M mount lens.

I fully agree regarding the colors, though. You need some patience in post if you want to mix & match Canon & Sigma color output.
