Spider ID? Wolf spider?

Not a great shot, but I am curious what spider this is...? If I am not mistaken it is a wolf spider (Lycosidae)? I was photographing mushrooms and came upon this creature...myself I am totally arachnaphobic, and wolf spiders are said to be aggressive so up close...NO!

Re: Spider ID? Wolf spider?

Hard to tell, it might be a species of wolf spiders. Maybe Allocosa paraguayensis? But that's just a wild guess from my end as there are about 520 species of wolf spiders..

I thought wolf spiders generally weren't aggressive at all, unless when intimidated/threatened. I've got a lot of common wolf spiders around in the summer, been getting pretty close to them and usually they stay still or run away.
