Spider
1

It was hiding somewhere ~2.5 meters high, in a difficult to reach position.

Re: Spider

Thank you!
Are interesting to note a multitude of "white dots" around the spider (hard to see with the naked eye) that appear to be anchor points of the spider's web.

After molting

A new spider after molting.

The exoskeleton.

Re: After molting

Very good! Although the flatter objects does not deliver good 3d effect, but you have found a good balance with the surrounding environment to achieve it!

Exoskeleton after molting (with a macro lens)

That's right. The problem is that very small subjects require large enlargements to get significant depth in the image.

My dual-lens system doesn't allow capturing frames less than 20mm wide at acceptable quality and I still have no other solution for moving scenes.
This type of spider sits in a very tight, shallow position, but significant crop would give it volume. Somewhere in the archive I have a specimen of the same species (I assume), but larger in size that I think would allow a crop to give it volume. I'll have to look for it. 🙂 ............................................................................

In the meantime, I re-photographed the exoskeleton with a macro lens. The air currents were very low in intensity and allowed photography from two different angles.
The image quality also allowed a crop to detail the area of interest.

I also took a very detailed enlarged capture from 98 stacked images, but was unable to make it stereo due to the variation in light quality (presence of clouds). 🙂

Thank you! 🙂
I think the macro world is very interesting to be seen in 3D.

Sometimes difference in colors makes some interesting effects, especially if the difference is not too much, and is not a big problem. But in general, I agree. Have a look at SBS:

Re: Spider

Excellent 3D 8magery.

The anchor points as well as interconnecting threads show nicely on my iPad.
