r5c 120 fps settings

Hi everyone.

Am i able to record  4k 120 fps in Canon r5c like a normal recording but not in slow motion that the menu gives(slow & fast motion or s&f clip/audio) so that i can get the normal video with audio and slow down in post later ? i hope this makes sense :D. Please advise .

Thank you

I wouldn't think so.

The whole point with these frame rates is slow motion.

It is not possible to record 120p with Audio but you can achieve the same with some additional steps.

Record s&f clip/audio 120fps on CFExpress and you need an SD card for the audio file. You end up with the video file taken at 120 fps conformed at 60 or 30 or 23.98 (it does not matter as it is only metadata) and the audio file. Now before dropping in a timeline simply change the frame rate of the video clip in your NLE to 120, I use Resolve so not sure how to do it on other NLE, and add the audio file.
You end up with non-slow motion version that you can now use to do speed ramps or simply playback at normal speed.
