I like the look of your shot, well done. The comment about the horizon is a bit picky in my view as it’s less than a gnats cock out 😊

You are 100% correct about the orientation being close enough.

That retaining wall/jetty in front of the horizon, at a horizontal different angle, is where the illusion of imbalance is occurring. Our brains are expecting parallels of straight lines.
I've faced this type of conundrum a few times recently, and there's no real solution, except for skewing and stretching the image. Then it's going to look fake AF.

Geometrically speaking, Nikki's photo is impressive in that the horizon is within a gnat's of being square, and the yacht's mast is also close to square, in the vertical plane.
