Canon EOS M3: Not turning on

Hello!

My camera doesn't work. This started when my friend pressed the on/off button multiple times like some pop-it toy. When she was pressing it, the camera was without any battery but it has the SD-Card on. Its been a month since and through the past month I tried replacing the battery, sd-card, even removed the lens, the battery and sd-card and wait around 36 hours and put all those back on according to an online article. I did all those but still doesn't work. I have a guess that it really was the multiple times of pressing without the battery was the main cause of the problem but I don't know, I just know how to take photographs and videos haha. I hope someone here can help.

I'll appreciate any inputs, thanks everyone!

Re: Canon EOS M3: Not turning on

Have you tried putting in a fully charged battery and leaving the camera turned off (with the battery in it) for some time (like overnight) ?

I think that some cameras have a fixed rechargeable battery or capacitor that has to be charged (from the main battery) for the camera to work. I have no idea how long it takes ?
