Tank Firing
3

Tried for a " discus" style shockwave but ended with a cone, and I just realized  I should have the trees with a slight bend for the wind.

I looked at tank firing pix and then made a cone in PS 3D mode.

I rasterized that and scaled it to the tanlk

then I filled the cone with the blast color, and gave the whole thing a Gaussian blur.

After it was done, it looked a little flat so I thought to make a classic 3 layer cake scene by putting the palms and blowing sand.

The blowing sand was drawn in in hard mode and blurred slightly.

Wind over objects ic a pretty easy effect since we know how it flows - the secret sauces are the hard brush and a slight blur, too much blur and it looks too foggy.

I kinda botched the foreground and tried to save it with the trees- I didn't want the terrain to look the same as Tank Battle
