X-H2s and DxO Pureraw

I've started to use Pureraw with X-H2s raw files for about a month now.

I'm generally happy with the experience but it frustrates me nearly every time I use it, because it gives me errors and does not process some images.

It happens with about 1/3 of the images I try to process with a vague message just stating that it has an error.

And the image preview changes like this:

Error icon

I've used Photoshop's denoising algorithm forever and Pureraw's results have felt magical to me, but this issue persists with both my Windows and Mac, so I do not think it would be my computer's problem.

I'm on trial version and obviously I wouldn't buy the program if it cannot reliably process my favorite photos.

Are there anybody experiencing the same problem?

And what other denoising programs would you recommend? I can sacrifice some algorithm superiority for reliability.

I use DxO's PureRaw2 with my Fujifilm X-T30 files (Just traded the T30 in on a T3 which hasn't arrived yet). I have never had an error message. I've had PrueRaw since it came out but,
I was only using it on problem files because it is slow on my machine (3Core). But, recently I had to use it for ALL my files because my version of Lightroom would not process a X-T30 RAF. My work around was to front end my images through PrueRaw2.
But, getting back to your error meg. Never had it.

Good luck,

Sol

The best solution is PL5 as imo pureraw indiscriminately applies default settings to the raf, sometimes this too much, its better to indiscriminately apply 0 in deep-prime imo.

Download a trial of PL5 and try exporting the raf as a dng with just noise and optical correction and use zero in deep-prime and compare with pure raw output?

Are you on the latest X-H2S firmware?

No, I am on 1.02, not 1.03. I will try updating the firmware. Thanks for the suggestion.

Ver. 1.03 seems to fix issue "Some RAW files shot in “BURST” mode with "LOSSLESS COMPRESSED" or "COMPRESSED" as RAW image recording method does not show up with some application software such as "Capture One".".

After updating the firmware and testing, it seems like Pureraw has no issue reading all the raw files. I was missing the most basic fix to the issue. Thanks!

It would be nice if DxO also fixed their software to work around the bug so that old files can be read but I doubt it will be a priority for them now.
