Replacement boxes for Canon lenses

Really out there topic but worth a shot..

As some of you may know, I live in Brazil and here, equipment price is sky rocketing.

I recently brought some stuff from overseas but due to accommodation in bags I had to let the boxes go. Selling with the boxes would value the goods when reselling.

So I'm wondering if there's anyway I can either print or buy the replacement boxes somewhere. Do any of you know?

I looked upon ebay and couldn't find anything like that.

There is one thing you should consider with replacement boxes.

Even it's an original box for the lens, it will not be matching numbers.

Canon does print the serial numbers and also production codes and date codes on the boxes (matching the lens inside the box).

.....Of course I'm out of my mind. It's dark and scary in there.....

Boxes are from carton. Why don't you just diassemble boxes to flatten them, put them to another bag (or send separately by mail) and assemble them back again?

Btw the fact that goods sell better when is in the original box is something I do not get at all .

Yeah, I don't get it either

Someone brought it to me, so I was already asking for a favor and didn't want to overextend my welcome lol

I keep all boxes for that reason. If you sell a product with all original accessories and box it makes a much better impression and may indicate that this person looks after his or her stuff carefully. Hence, you get a better price.

Boxes are also important in re-sale of women’s shoes, purses, and jewelry (‘…comes with original Tiffany box’). I think I read a camera is not graded Like New unless it includes the original box even if the camera itself is pristine. I once had a closet full of boxes. Decided not to play that game and got rid of all of them. I just sold a slew of stuff through MPB and they didn’t seem to care about original boxes.

Which by itself is as weird as it can be. There is no practical and real connection between how someone cares about the equipment and if he throws a box to trash or basement.

I only keep those ones where it makes sense. For example wooden boxes from big speakers which might be easily damaged during transport thanx to its weight and slippery surface.

My experience trading in my own lenses is that I always get more when I have all the packaging. I guess it’s a psychological thing for prospective buyers. They may assume that if you bothered to save the packaging you may be finicky and careful with your gear. In my case that’s true, but if someone told me “it’s in the original packaging, just for another lens” I would think twice.

Yes, this just repeats what has been written already. My answer above .

I simply do not see any relevant connection between the place someone puts a box and his caring about gear in everyday use.

If I buy 2nd hand stuff, I only look on the physical condition of the goods itself. If it is mint I buy no matter if it has a box. If it is bad I do not buy no matter if it has a box.

Having a box somewhere in the house does not bring me anything when using the lens.

Everyone's mileage may vary, of course.
