September 11 after 21 years
4

Living in New York City, having worked close to the World Trade Center that fateful day, and having suffered a personal loss due to 9/11, every year I get emotional as the anniversary approaches. Most years I go out to photograph the Tribute In Lights memorial as a form of psychological/spiritual therapy and as a way to honor all the innocent victims lost that day. This year, the 9/11 anniversary coincided with the full Harvest Moon, and the moonrise aligned with the World Trade Center. The circumstances made for a special photo opportunity.

Regards, Warren

A very nice shot!

A friend, Steven King, used to work across the street, and his best friend worked in one of the WTC buildings. At the time my friend was visiting us here in Sweden, so he couldn't fly home (his home airport was the last that was reopened), and he spent hours worrying about his dear friend, but eventually he was smiling again! At last, he got the awaited call saying all was fine!
