Isn't it weird that there's no "nifty fifty" for EOS M?

Surprised nobody has mentioned adapting the EF 50 f/1.8 STM. It’s a gem, too, granted at 2.8… for the price anyways.

Having to stop down to f2.8 on crop is not a gem

the siggy 56 f1.4 used wide open is the gem

Not surprising, when it costs nearly 4x as much.

And why settle for an M body and the 56/1.4 when life is short and you should be using an R3 with an RF 85/1.2L.

Everyone has a different budget. For some, adapting the Canon 50/1.8 STM is the best option within their budget. For others, it's the old Sigma 60/2.8. For others, it's the Sigma 56/1.4. And for yet others it's the RF 85/1.2L.

It's great that we have all of these options. Each has its place.

but from my view, too often I see folks spilling money, and then spending even more by overlapping and upgrading, when They would have done better with the right gear in the first place, even if it meant to wait while they were saving

a lot of times this is lack of experience on the existing options

My RP has the 100L stuck on it !

mine has the RF 24-105 F4L stuck on it - I love this lens

You could sell that lens for more than you paid for it ?

The 100L is up about $200 !

Sick that I did not click when the RF24-105L was cheap. I saw the sale too. Had the money. Sick.

Yes, lots of great colors at the car show.

Closest I have come to using a L lens at the car show was the 32mm.

I do think L lenses have the best coatings and deliver nice colors.

EF 100mm L is my only L lens. Outstanding lens.

Adding a RF 24-105mm L and a RF 100-400mm L would be right !
