Airshow at night
4

Sharing a few photos of Bournemouth airshow at night.

Was a bit limited with the camera and reach/aperture of the lens but worked ok considering. Let me know what you think.

Crossing over the moon

Firebirds

Otto 1 (Helicopter)

Otto 2

Otto fireworks, can you spot Otto?

Tigers parachute touchdown

Tigers 2

I know the last 2 are dark but this is brighter than in real life.

Those pictures are great, especially when considering the (lack of) lighting conditions. I do love a night airshow.

that looks like a tough shoot in dismal lighting, with a slow lens, but you pulled it off in fine style.

i really like that shot of the two planes climbing nearly straight up.

Thank you, that one came out better than expected.

Was pretty tough on all fronts. A7r2 is hardly a low light king when it comes to AF, neither is the lens. Was tempted to bump the iso to 12800 but sometimes it gets ugly even with noise reduction.

By the time i got to photo number 5 id almost given up and decided to shoot fireworks from the helicopter instead with slow shutter.. was actually easier shooting at 1/8 sec hand held even with the tamron telephoto.

Got to try these things. got an A7IV now
