EOS R3 Self-timer with multi shot, no? How?

Got the EOS R3 near a month, I just make a group selfie with the 10sec timer with my colleague, but when I change the drive mode to self-timer, I can't found the timer icon that I can set how many shot on timer.

I have this functions, one the EOS 700D, A7III, EOS M etc, but no at R3, Am I missing some setting?

From EOS 700D

EOS R3 online manual about Drive Mode:

https://cam.start.canon/hy/C010/manual/html/UG-04_AF-Drive_0100.html

Just 10 / 2 Seconds timer

On EOS R3 I can have Interval timer on Menu 1-7, but that timer not working like self timer:

https://cam.start.canon/hy/C010/manual/html/UG-03_Shooting-1_0290.html

Interval timer on EOS R3

Should I need plug the Timer Remote TC-80N3 to make it work!? oh my....

Still can't found any way on Multiple shot with self-timer, just work around with mobile phone Bluetooth remote control.

Hi - that option is present on the RP, but not on the R5. I have no idea why!

However here’s a workaround. Use exposure bracketing with a 10sec delay. You can set 2,3,5 or 7 images. If you chose 3, you could set your brackets at -1/3, 0, and +1/3 stops. This would be a negligible difference and easily fixable in post to give identical exposure.

Hope that helps.

The "number of shots when the self timer expired" is a feature Canon has included on some of the low level cameras. They probably think that their "real" cameras are used by somebody holding them.

Sure you can use the interval timer. Just delete the first/first few images, and then it will take photos at regular intervals.

+1 on the interval timer option.  I just tried this on my R3 and it works beautifully.  Just a quick note that I'd recommend setting a manual exposure, as you don't want it shifting exposure on you due to something around you changing.

Bracketing, not bad idea.

Another frustrating is not being able to use the interval shot using the Canon remote app.

I would need the app to set the focus as I am find using Continuous AF isn’t hitting accurately enough at a distance.
