fungus on the rear element of my EF 85mm f/1.2 II lens

I was doing a routine cleaning of my gear and found what I think is a tiny spot of fungus on the inside of the rear element of my Canon EF 85mm f/1.2 II lens. At first I thought it was a speck of dust but upon closer examination under a bright desk lamp and a magnifying glass I see a small halo around the dot I thought was dust.

The lens is about 10 years old now and I do live in humid Houston, Texas but it is stored in a well ventilated room and we run AC almost year round.

I'm going to send it to CPS for a general checkup and cleaning and will ask them if it is fungus can it be removed and at what cost.

Anyone ever had to have fungus removed?  I had thought about selling it and getting the RF model as I now have an R and R7, I figure fungus would lower the resale value substantially.
