Great for Wildlife

I mostly use this camera with a 600 mm RF lens. It is an absolute joy to go out and shoot with this setup. Birds in flight are fun once you get the bird in the frame. I find the hardest part if finding your subject especially when using a 2X extender with the 600 mm lens. I rarely use video so heating up is not an issue. I find I get a much higher percent of tack sharp photos using this setup versus the 5DIV with a 500 mm lens.

What I like about the camera:

  • The crispness of the viewfinder image. Compared to say a Sony a7III, it is far superior. I get it, that is a much older camera.
  • The sharpness of images and low noise. I rarely go above 12,800.
  • The autofocus capabilities including animal tracking.

What I don't like:

  • Some of the white lettering on the back of the camera is starting to rub off from use.
