Little eagle v Australian Raven

Well I think I have correctly identified the two species involved in this aerial combat that took place in the skies of South Australia.

A Little Eagle and a Australian Raven.

This was my first outing with the Nikon 500mm pf paired with the TC-14E III and D850.
All shots handheld and cropped.

Little Eagle - is that the name of the species?

What camera?  These are all soft.  The last two are the best, because they are closer.

The 500 PF should/will do much better than this.  The long shooting distance hurt your chances, and the lens is better without the 1.4.  Depending on the camera??? ... cropping may be a better choice.

Get closer.  Provide shooting data next time, so suggestions can be made.

Re: Little eagle v Australian Raven

The post does mention the camera and the TC.

Sorry it is a 1.4 not a 14 because well they do not exist..

Get closer? This action just happened in a rush above some trees about 60 metres away.

Little Eagle - Hieraaetus Morphnoides.  A species native to Australia.

Soft ?  I was just happy to capture it all.

Ah ... D850 (guess I missed that)

I wrote 1.4 in my post (maybe you missed it)

So then, say so. As I said in another thread a few minutes ago (maybe you missed it) ... "we get it".

Thanks for clearing it up.

That's a great Camera and Lens Combo ... I see some very nice images in your Gallery, and I don't think we have many Australian based photographers in the forum who can show us what lives in that part of the world.

I hope to see some nice pictures from you in the future.
