On the Panasonic GH4, can you fire off a set of bracketed shots using the timer function?

Hi,

Coming from the Canon world I'm used to be able to do just that. Which makes sense as it takes my finger off the shutter button while it's doing the shooting for me. However, I've been trying to do the same on my GH4, but regardless of the timer being set, it shoots all the bracketed shots as soon as I press the shutter button..

I'm guessing they expect that I would use a remote control maybe..?

I don't have a manual for the GH4 here, but the ones for the G9 and GH6 say that only the 10s timer is unavailable for bracketing. So, I guess that means that the 2s timer should be OK (for those models anyway). Have you tried that one too?

What type of bracketing?

I can definitely use either 10s or 2s self timer and exposure bracketing on my GH5. I don't have it to check, but I'm pretty sure my GH3 could too, so it would be odd to miss a generation.

Focus bracketing may be different, depending on settings.

I dug into the manual and it seems that bracketing using a timer is not an option :{

I think this is one of the few things that older Panasonics cannot do.

Wouldn't an external trigger help, like you suggested in the opening post? As I understand it, the GH4's microphone input can be used as a trigger input for still photography.

Re: On the Panasonic GH4, can you fire off a set of bracketed shots using the timer function?

I managed to find my Panasonic remote control and that way I can auto bracket shoot without touching the camera.

If anybody knows how I'm supposed to configure the camera exactly to auto bracket using the timer that will be wonderful..

Thanks very much for now!
