I do wish it focused just a bit faster on my M5 (you could say that my M5 is the weak link, but my sigma 16mm f/1.4 focuses noticeably faster than the 32mm on the same M5).

The 32 really comes into its own (for shooting action) when it’s mounted on the M6ii.  As you’ve seen, the Sigmas are a little faster focusing (I have the 16 and 56 too).

The M5’s achilles heel has always been its autofocus (in my experience), but autofocus has actually become the M6ii’s true strength, and the combination with the 32 is quick enough for even indoor basketball…

If you ever do find yourself desiring knock-em-dead (Spot) autofocus, the M6ii will certainly provide it!  Start saving up your pennies!

I agree.  I've actually toyed with the idea of selling my 6D2 for the M6II but what's stopping me is the lack of an alternative to my 35/2 IS.  I do love the 35mm FL and the only options for the M are the 22mm and the Viltrox 23/1.4 (and it comes in silver) so that's a no-go for me.  Still, if ever there's a good deal on a used M6II in the future, I may consider selling the M5 for really cheap to get that M6II hehe.  For now, I'm OK with the M5/32mm combo since I'm not really shooting action/sports.
