As a photo camera - everything is very good here, except resolution. It's a sacrifice that make possible such speed and all these features with this price. In slow "tripod" tasks, you can catch yourself thinking that a three times cheaper old amateur crop 1.5 could do just as well, and can give you at least same size prints, but below I will explain why this is not entirely true.
I bought this camera exactly for this kinda speedy use, because this is "baby 1dx", because i want bring more good material from dynamic outdoor portrait shots that I do for stocks. And then the war began, and now I'm sitting in some countryside hundreds of kilometers from my tfp community, half of my models are already in Poland, and rockets are flying to my favorite photo locations, so i switched for subject shootings, food and everything that I see around.
And yet, this camera justifies itself pretty good. And I don't feel like I'm not using it's potential well.
First of all - IBIS. It's just really good. I had experience with old IBISis in Sony and Pentax DSLRs. And the efficiency of those stabilizers was perceived in the range from "does it do anything at all?" to "well, it seems to work somehow". But in R6, the effectiveness of IBIS is undeniable. When I working with natural light during the golden hour, there's not much time for a tripod. And the cappuccino foam lasts for several minutes. I have to work out different angles in a limited amount of time. Stabilization helps a lot.
Secondly, having limited hardware capabilities, I looked at these 20 megapixels differently.
Thirdly, I have cats here. And this is probably the best camera under $2500 for photographing cats.
And fourthly, this is really a very convenient and pleasant camera. 3 wheels, amazing customization for canon, great work with old ef lenses....
