For my Sigma 150-600 S, I am using a ThinkTank Glass Limo, should be ample space for you!

I use a LowePro Flipside 300. It takes the lens attached to the body, with the hood reversed, plus room for another [small] lens and accessories.

Thanks

Thanks for all the recommendations!

I already have a large LowePro photo backpack that will fit it.  I'm looking more for something just for that lens or that lens+body.  I was bummed to find the LowePro holster-style all-weather case I already had (works with my 80-200mm f/2.8 + body) is just a little bit too small for just the lens.

For now, I'll probably buy just an inexpensive lens case like the JJC until I can look at some of the other offerings in person.

Thanks again... I appreciate the help!

Bob

This fits perfectly, lens only, hood reversed.

I forgot one thing: And you do not need to reverse the lens shade!!!

Re: What case for AF-S 200-500mm f/5.6?

...and one more "transportation" question:

How to attach Peak Design anchors so I can hang the camera and lens around my neck, if necessary?

I have a long Arca-Swiss-type plate attached to the lens' tripod foot that leaves no place for the anchors.  I guess I could mount a Peak Design anchor mount at the end of the long plate that doesn't get used, but that doesn't seem optimum.

Is anyone using the Peak Design strap system with their camera and this lens?

Even has enough space to hold the TC-14e III in a semi-hard case with a cp filter to boot.

Same case here, very happy with it. Fits perfectly.

Re: What case for AF-S 200-500mm f/5.6?

For anyone reviewing this thread to help make a purchase decision:

The LowPro case mentioned is a very tight fit for the lens with a long Arca-Swiss type adapter plate mounted on the tripod foot.  It's also tight enough around the lens hood that it will pull the zoom out when the lens is removed from the case if the lens hasn't been locked at 200mm.  (It may also pull the hood off).

I wish it was just a tiny bit larger...

Unfortunately, unless there's a custom-made case available (Nikon, are you listening?), what's out there is what's out there.

On the bright side, I was able to squeeze in an NC filter on the lens in addition to the CPL and the TC-14e III in that semi-hard case.

ThinkTank Glass Limo is big enough for the Sigma 150-600 S with the lens hood in place, with a camera mounted!
